About the Role

Responsibilities

Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and event announcements to gain positive coverage for the organisation.
Collaborate with internal teams to align PR efforts with ongoing campaigns, events, and organisational goals.
Manage and update the organisation's media kit, ensuring it includes up-to-date information and media assets.
Support the organisation's presence at events, assisting with media interactions and capturing promotional materials for further outreach.

Qualifications

Previous experience or education in public relations, communications, or journalism is desirable, ideally with a focus on non-profit or volunteer settings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to develop compelling stories and tailor messaging for different audiences and media platforms.
Familiarity with PR software, media databases, and platforms like Meltwater or Cision is a plus.
